Bulgaria participates in the largest tourist exhibition in the world in Stuttgart
In the period January 14-22, the international tourist exhibition CMT (Caravan – Motor – Touristik) is being held in the German city of Stuttgart again after the two-year end. For nine days, the exhibition is visited by an average of about 300,000 visitors, which ranks it in a leading place among tourist exhibitions in the world, intended for the end customer. According to the organizers, this year the interest from exhibitors is huge: over 1,600 from 100 countries, with all 120,000 square meters of exhibition space booked, the Ministry of Tourism reports.
This year’s partner is Mongolia. The camping, caravanning and leisure travel fair is complemented by the accompanying exhibitions for cycling, hiking, golf, wellness and cruise travel.
The Bulgarian stand has an area of 40 square meters, in which, together with the Ministry of Tourism, Albena Tour EAD, the Municipality of Varna and “Camperisimo” are participating this year. During the first weekend of the exhibition, the interest in Bulgaria was huge. Inquiries are mainly about sea holidays, opportunities for round trips, cycling, mountain trekking, rehabilitation and wellness, etc.
The CMT tourist fair is traditionally held in the middle of January, when early bookings for the upcoming summer season are still valid and many Germans plan their vacations in this period.
The desire for travel and travel of the Germans is huge. The audience that stops at the Bulgarian stand, for the most part, does not know Bulgaria and wishes to visit it this year. The target is the interest of the segment of families with children and 55+ who wish to combine a sea holiday with one-day cultural itineraries or round trips. Lots of inquiries for camping, golf, biking, wine tasting, spa and wellness opportunities. Part of the stand’s decor depicts the Belogradchik rocks, which are of great interest to the German public.
