Lidl is among the three best employers in Bulgaria
The trade chain “Lidl” (Lidl) is one of the three best employers in Bulgaria and has been awarded the TOP Employer 2023 international certificate for Bulgaria and Europe. This is the fourth consecutive entry of the company into the prestigious ranking, thanks to excellent results.
Lidl Bulgaria achieves a total result for the ranking that is nearly 12% above the industry average in Europe and over 7% better than that of all awarded TOP employers in the world for 2023.
With the award, Lidl Bulgaria ranks among the divisions of the chain in a total of 27 countries, which are also distinguished by the TOP Employers Institute. Among them are countries such as Germany, France, England, the USA and others, which are another recognition of the proven and globally recognized HR practices implemented by the Bulgarian division of the company.
“We are extremely happy that for another year we defended the award of the TOP employer. We achieved even better results in a year that was not easy,” commented Milena Dragiiska, CEO of Lidl Bulgaria. She notes invest even more effort in caring for employees through additional financial assistance, new benefits and a strong focus on their training and development. “We opened new stores, set foot in new cities, and in one year our team grew by nearly 10%.” Thus, today we are 4,041 employees, for whom we will continue to support the support and motivating work environment”, she predicts.
The TOP employer certificate is awarded after a thorough independent audit of the company’s HR policies. The analysis covers more than 20 topics in 6 key areas: people management, work environment, attraction, development, engagement and engagement. In its presentation, Lidl Bulgaria achieved a maximum result of 100% in topics such as business strategy and people management strategy, leadership, work environment, vision and price.
In the past year, the company provided financial bonuses for all employees, new benefits for parents with students, as well as various training programs. Currently, over 70% of the managed staff in Lidl stores are people who have developed from within.
A total of 146 pupils and students made their first professional skills with the help of the company’s practical and stage program. The chain also welcomed the fourth batch of students in a dual form of education.
