AUSTRIA poll for Lower Austria election: ÖVP falls to 38%, FPÖ second with 25%, SPÖ with 23% – only 27% would choose Mikl-Leitner directly
Lazarsfeld survey predicts a loss of 12% for the ÖVP in the Lower Austria election and a fall of less than 40%. The FPÖ took second place with a plus of 10% and thus 25%.
Vienna (OTS) – According to a current survey by the Lazarsfeld Society (with 1,000 correspondingly the largest sample of all Lower Austria election surveys, conducted between January 11 and 12, online) for the daily newspaper ÖSTERREICH, the ÖVP is threatening in the state elections in Lower Austria on January 29 a dramatic crash.
According to the Lazarsfeld survey, the ÖVP would lose almost 12 percentage points with the current status and at 38 percent (-11.6) would have fallen below the 40 percent mark that is so important for them. According to the Lazarsfeld Society, Udo Landbauer’s FPÖ, on the other hand, won the election with 25 percent and an increase of 10.2 percent. The FPÖ would thus overtake the SPÖ, the Social Democrats with Franz Schnabl would only come in third place with 23 percent (-0.9). The Neos are 7 percent, the Greens 6 percent.
In a fictitious direct election for the state governor, Johanna Mikl-Leitner would only receive 27 percent of the votes in the raw data, the FPÖ candidate Udo Landbauer a surprisingly good 26 percent, Franz Schnabl 13 percent.
28 percent of Lower Austrians would not directly vote for a candidate standing for election.
The majority of Austrians expect nationwide consequences after the Lower Austria elections: 52 percent are of the opinion that the election results in Lower Austria will have consequences for federal politics or the federal government. Among the 16 to 29 year olds it is even 64 percent.
