Demonstration against the pension reform in Toulouse: the expected disruptions and the route
For this first day of strike and demonstration, here are the main disruptions expected and the route of the procession in the Pink City.
First day of strike and demonstration against the pension reform this Thursday, January 19. Here, in Toulouse, the disruptions to expect and the route of the procession.
Disturbances.- The transport sector should be strongly impacted. If the metro, which is automatic, should operate normally, the bus and tram network could be at a standstill for the most part. Leaflets are distributed in front of the three Tisséo Voyageurs depots from 5:30 a.m. and the number of drivers announced as strikers is said to be high.
Several school transport lines in the department are canceled. Few trains (TGV, Intercités, TER) will run. The rate of strikers in schools, colleges and high schools promises to be high. At the Post Office, at the Caf and in other administrations, as in local authorities, services and counters remain closed.
The course.– The eight trade unions meet this Thursday, at 10 a.m., at the war memorials, boulevard Carnot, in Toulouse. They will open the procession with a banner: “withdrawal of the pension reform project, increase in wages and pensions”. The François Verdier metro station will be closed. Because of the works around the war memorial, the procession will leave on the boulevards in the direction of Arnaud-Bernard. It will take the Pont des Catalans to break up Alleys Chalres-de-Fitte.
