The official confirmation is still missing. However, the fact that Yann Sommer (34) will now switch to Bayern Munich is already a safe bet.

Borussia Monchengladbach will no longer be able to hold the Swiss national goalkeeper, Jan summer will be the new number one at Rekordmeister before the Bundesliga restart at the weekend Bayern Munich being.

Gladbach buckles: Yann Sommer moves to Bayern Munich

Sommer should get a contract with FCB until 2025, the Munich pay for the goalie a fee, success including surcharges, of ten million euros.

Sommer’s contract in Gladbach would have expired on June 30, 2023.

The fact that Bayern are paying twice the market value for their new number one anchor shows how great the shortage of personnel is in the goalkeeper position on Säbener Straße.

Stammkeper Manuel Neuer (36) suffered a serious broken leg during a ski party and has been out for months.

Bayern now have to put millions in their hands because of the new misstep.

The turnaround in summer poker, which has been going on for weeks, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening (January 17th).

Bayern increased their offer to up to million euros, Gladbach finally caved in and lifted the transfer veto, knowing that Sommer would have left the club for free after the season.

Gladbach managers had this Roland Vircus (56) Recently launched via a media partner that Borussia will not let Sommer go.

That turned out to be a media stun grenade and is long history.

Borussia has not yet confirmed the agreement in the summer cause, since, according to GladbachLIVE information, there are final details on the commitment of the summer successor Jonas Omlin (29) from Montpellier to be clarified.

Thursday (September 19, 2023) should then be reported for both summer and Omlin completion.

At the first preparatory session of the Fohlen-Elf on Wednesday (January 18) for the Rhineland duel on Sunday (January 22) against Bayer Leverkusen Sommer had already stopped participating.

The Swiss, on the other hand, should already be part of the Bundesliga cracker on Friday (January 20th). RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich can be seen in the jersey of his new employer for the first time.

Omlin, on the other hand, will probably make his Gladbach and league premiere at Borussia Park on Sunday against Leverkusen.

Gladbach’s coach Daniel Farke (46), who had emphasized twice in a statement that there was no attempt at all to give up summer, did not want to comment on the current development in the summer cause on Wednesday.

Yann Sommer traveled to Munich on Wednesday evening, where he will now complete a medical check.

Gladbach has lost “one of the best goalkeepers in Europe” (O-Ton Farke).

And gets Jonas Omlin as a replacement nun from the French relegation candidate HSC Montpellier, for which a transfer fee in the range of eight to ten million euros should be in the room.
