“Drag Me to the Roosevelt” Mardi Gras Drag Brunch February 4th
NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Roosevelt New Orleans, Waldorf Astoria Hotel will host a carnival-themed drag brunch, “Drag Me to The Roosevelt – Mardi Gras Edition,” on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Guests will be treated to a three-course meal and lively entertainment from New Orleans’ own entertainment. Kitten N’ Louvoted Best Duo by The Burlesque Hall of Fame and three special guest performers.
Kitten N’ Lou dazzles audiences around the world with their own brand of highly choreographed comedy camps. With the shows you describe Time-out The “brilliantly messed up” couple from New York made their television debut with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett on the PBS Great Performances special “Cheek to Cheek” in 2014.
The February 4 brunch The Roosevelt in New Orleans also features entertainment from three of the city’s most in-demand drag performers: New Orleans’ infamous edgy singer Miss Angie Z; Laveau Contraire who won the 2020 FLAME Award for Best Drag Queen; and Siren, a comedian, DJ and one of New Orleans’ top drag performers.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in Mardi Gras attire and participate in a costume contest.
The event will be hosted in the Waldorf Astoria Ballroom (mezzanine level), with doors opening at 11:45 a.m. and the event starting promptly at noon. General seats bunting are $99 plus tax, tip and service charge and include a three-course brunch and bottomless mimosas. Limited VIP seating tickets are available for $129 plus tax, gratuity and service charge. VIP seats are closer to the stage and include exclusive champagne selections.
