In Prague, Pavel clearly won, in Bruntál or Karviné Babiš. DETAILED RESULTS
The first round of the presidential election is over. Retired general Petr Pavel and MP Andrej Babiš (ANO) continue the fight for the Castle. At the same time, part of the districts gave their opinion clearly already in the first round, when the candidates won over 50 percent of the votes in them.
The results of the first round of the presidential election are clear, as Andrej Babiš and Petr Pavel advance to the second round. At the same time, some districts send their popularity directly to the Castle, as they won over 50 percent of the votes in the Czech Republic. One of them is the Karviná district, where Babiš showed more than 53 percent of voters.
A similar result was recorded in Mosteck and Bruntálsk. In both districts, Babiš could count on the support of more than 50 percent of voters. In all the mentioned districts, however, the voter turnout was below average, not even reaching 60 percent.
Prague would then send his competitor Petr Pavel directly to Prague Castle. There, the retired general won over 51 percent of the vote. He also received the same support in the district of Prague-Západ. Even voters who were outside the Czech Republic on Friday and Saturday voted for Pavel (over 56% of votes). Babiš burned out among them when he took only fourth place behind Danuša Nerudová and Pavlo Fischer. Voter turnout exceeded 70 percent in all these places.
