Dazzling victory against world stars! Hungary – Iceland 30-28!
The Hungarian national team won a huge victory against the Northerners, who have a chance to win in the final, with their outstanding play in the second half!
In the early match, Portugal defeated South Korea (32-24), and since we also successfully overcome the obstacle against the Asians (35-27), so the
the match against Iceland was already decided: they advanced from Group D even before the Hungarian national team.
In order to reach the Olympics (the world’s seven-ranked team will surely advance to the five-team playoffs), we need the feats of the first dream, which we can also start against Iceland. If only because the Hungarian national team is playing its jubilee, 150th World Cup match!
Another interesting feature of the match: female referees, the Bonaventura twins (Charlotte and Julie) will be conducting!
We start well: Zoltán Szita’s goal gives us an immediate lead, Veszprém’s legendary Elisson immediately equalises, and one of Iceland’s biggest stars scores two straight away, so the score is pretty quickly: 1-3.
In the 5th minute, however, we equalize: Máté Lékai sells a seven-pointer – it’s good, we managed to cool down the initial Icelandic flare-up! The job: 4-4.
In the 6th minute Mikler Roland has his first feat: he saves Gudjónsson’s shot!
In the 10th minute, we equalize again: Gábor Ancsin, who is still feeling the injury, scores a self-sacrificing goal – The score is 6-6!
In the 11th minute, Gislason was sent off for the first time, which is not surprising, as the hard-nosed Icelander was also benched by the referees twice against Portugal.
Zoltán Szita has excelled so far: he now scores his third through-ball goal – let’s keep up with the northerners – 8-8!
Then, after a bit of VAR, the Bonaventura twins send Adrián Sipos off for two minutes (allegedly for a hit to the head), the Icelanders – through Palmarsson – immediately take advantage of the opportunity – 9-8 there! Another bad news: Lékai’s penalty is saved by Gustavsson…
In the 19th minute, Magnusson scored seven 11-8 in favor of the Icelanders, also, Sipost is scored by the referees for the second time in a short period of time. Which is true: he hit the opponent a little unnecessarily.
There needs to be a goal… It is needed: Márton Szély is in instead of Roland, and Chema Rodrigúez is also asking for time.
For now it’s all in vain
in the 22nd minute we are at a 5-0 Iceland streak,
Goalkeeper Gustavsson mesmerizes our team. The negative streak is broken by Bóka Bendegúz’s goal, the score is: 13-9.
At the end of the half, luck is not with us either: after a foul against Egon Hanusz, the exhibition is missed, at the end of the attack, Bodó shoots a roaring goal post. The rebound naturally lands in the hands of our opponent.
Márton Székely’s first save in the 28th minute, three saves from our goalkeepers in one half – not too many…
The inning is finally over 17-12-and ends with Iceland in the lead – it was a shame for the 8-minute scoreless… A huge improvement in form will be needed – even to equalize…
AFTER A BREAK
The second half continues with the dismissal of Bence Bánhidi and Magnusson’s penalty goal, then we get three empty-net goals (we change goalkeepers at a bad pace), in addition, we can see a lot of technical mistakes from our side, then Chema Rodrigúez gets a yellow card, the Hungarian national team captain immediately picks up the Dél . -He often saw an “arm in arm” position against Korea. Oh, and the position: 22-17 – there!
These are Gábor Ancsin’s minutes: first he scores a spectacular through-ball goal, then at the start of the middle Vidarsson pushes it a little too far, so the Icelander receives a two-minute penalty!
In the 42nd minute March 25-19: after going in, Elisson is in trouble again, the classic won’t make a mistake, if he continues like this he will get a salary deduction in Veszprém!
However
we get back into the game before the last quarter of an hour:
With Ilic’s double and the goals of Ancsin and Rosta already 25-23 – is the ax handle still missing?
It is not surprising: the Icelandic captain is asking for time, and instead of Gustavsson, the young Hallgrímsson is in goal for the Vikings.
Ten minutes before the end, Zoltán Szita flashes again after a long time – and that’s all 27-25 there!
The Hungarian national team changes its formation: we play with three linebackers,
but in the end Elisson scores a goal, luckily Bodó responds quickly, moreover, after a great defense, Bóka Bendegúz now 28-27!
Mikler saves at the best time – we can equalize five minutes before the end, as after defending inside we reach seven: Miklós Rosta equalizes – 28-28, come on boys!
Mikler’s feat, followed by Richárd Bodó’s bomb goal at the end of the attack 29-28 – Iceland collapsed? In any case, after an out-of-this-world Mikler feat, Bodó scores a goal, an amazing Hungarian end game 30-28 Hungarian lead. the Icelandic captain asks for his third time – how did we get back?!
One minute before the end, Roland Mikler cools off the Icelanders again (we would be very surprised if he wasn’t the man of the match), Chema Rodrigúez made a timely request, at the end another Hungarian goalkeeping feat – the Hungarian national team gives an extra performance in the final game of the second half! At the same time, the theory that we cannot get up from the floor has been overturned…
The man of the match was the nine-goaler Jonas Elisson – damn it!
The best player of the Hungarian national team, Mikler Roland, said after the match: although Iceland dominated most of the match, we produced a brutal final game, and this also proves the team unity and faith of the Hungarian national team!
According to the unstoppable Zoltán Szita, the Hungarian national team always strives for the maximum, which is proven by the fact that the translation was successful from minus 6. According to the somewhat inexplicably sidelined player in Szeged, mistakes were reduced in the second half, and we have to learn from that too! The striker also said that everyone knew how important this match was. And the final was that
Roland Mikler defended sensationally, Richárd Bodó was unstoppable, but everyone brought their heart and soul to the field!
Federal captain Chema Rodrigúez admitted that he cried for joy at the end of the match. “The bottom line: we were a team. The key to the victory was that no one was nervous during the break, and I confess: after this success, this team can achieve anything!
