Ufo, Rome’s record: 14 sightings in 2022, all reports in Italy. And US intelligence: “Tripled cases”
Now that the Pentagon and NASA are talking about UFOs in the open like the weather forecasts (certain, even if not always absolutely certain), the 14 sightings that in 2022 concerned Rome and its province, leading the ranking drawn up every year since 1997 with fine sieves from the National UFO Center. Among other things, one of those reports is resisting like the last Japanese on an island to all attempts to downgrade it to the category of “events with few supporting elements” or, even worse, in “explained events”. This is how it works, and it is the procedure also used by the armed forces or space agencies such as NASA: of the 319 reports (recovering after the 279 of the pandemic and claustrophobic 2021) received by the Cun, 44 ended up early in the box of non-relevant cases almost all natural phenomena. Another 127 were considered “incomplete”, i.e. the witnesses, pressed, did not provide further information.
BETWEEN LANTERNS AND REFLECTIONS
Of the 148 advances, those linked to Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite “trains” gradually came out, now a curse for astronomers and ufologists, equal to 18% of sightings, then, to scale, those caused by video-photographic errors (reflections); those related to the passages of the international space station or of airplanes or helicopters; those triggered by (sic) Chinese lanterns or drones; those caused by headlights from nightclubs; those drawn in the skies by stars or meteorites (bolides). Tighten tightened, in the end, only 24 reports have survived for now, the Roman one is at the top. Months with more reports at Ufoline del Cun? August, July and January.
Lazio, among other things, with 19 sightings (Latina, 2, Frosinone, Latina and Rieti 1) is preceded only by Lombardy with 25 and immediately followed by Emilia-Romagna (18). Unattractive for UFOs Abruzzo, Basilicata, Molise, Umbria and Valle d’Aosta (zero), while at the provincial level after Rome stand out Milan (10), Piacenza and Brescia (6), Naples and Palermo (5), Lecce and Taranto (2).
FROM UFO TO UAP
The Cun of the president Roberto Pinotti (emeritus Vladimiro Bibolotti), to make himself understood, continues to use the historic, probably unshakeable and even affectionate acronym Ufo (unidentified flying objects), while in the USA the icy Uap (unidentified aerospace phenomena ) ) that in the latest report released, subject to Pentagon supervision, by the National Intelligence Directorate (DNI), labels 310 of the 510 reports recorded in 2022, three times as many as in 2021. Reports which, unlike the “civilian” ones collected by the Cun , selections also from Navy and Air Force military pilots who make use not only of sight, but also of the instruments installed in their aircraft. From the US to the Italian Air Force, the first since 2001 to make public the thoughtful reports of UFOs (unidentified flying objects): on the AM website for last year there are 10 (one less than 2021),
It is likely that in the coming months only a handful of American cases will remain unexplained, but it should be remembered that 3 of them in 2017 were enough to open a breach in the wall of secrecy, completely (okay, in large part) dismantled in 2021 at the request of Congress who has been calling for transparency for years. It was no longer possible to remain silent about those objects (not flares) which fly in a totally unconventional way and with amazing capabilities (velocity and turning angles), as testified by the US Navy pilots who saw UAP even framed by the automatic search cameras of the F/A 18 Super Hornet jets embarked on the aircraft carrier Nimitz.
THE GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY
Films kept under lock and key by the Pentagon until one of the “guardians” gave up his job to give air to those “secrets”: he is Luis Elizondo, a former agent and former executive of the “classified” programs of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), supported by Tom DeLonge, frontman of the American band Blink182, founder of the To the stars academy of Art and Science. The two were the protagonists of the New York Times scoop which in December 2017 forced the American Defense to release three of those videos shot by top guns and later certified as authentic and “inexplicable with current knowledge”.
Alien those flying “Tic Tacs”? It cannot be said, although certainly in the age of satellites it is difficult for any new aircraft to escape espionage. And the following year in Rome, invited by the CUN, Elizondo and DeLonge revealed that for years the Pentagon has had debris of materials with characteristics unknown on Earth and not attributable to meteorites: metamaterials, they call them. Last year another pickaxe at the Pentagon: by appealing to the Freedom of Information Act the media obtained the declassification of 1,574 pages from the Department of Defense. The cases I consider Uap in the last 60 years thus rose from 144 to 400, with NASA which again in 2022 financed and made public a research program dedicated to UFOs entrusted to a team of scientists and researchers which also includes Italian astrophysics Federica White.
