In its 100th year in Turkey, it will supply both fuel and electricity
Fuel brand Shell celebrated the 100th anniversary of its launch in Turkey in the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

Explaining to those who have continued oil exploration and production operations in the Southeast region in 1955, Erdem said, “In the 50th year of our Republic, we had a company that had the privilege of selling fuel oil refined from domestic oil in its systems. Daily domestic crude oil production of over 1.3 million tons in 1968. This year, it corresponded to 51.8 percent of Turkey’s total crude oil production. Noting that they started again with TPAO in 2011 after a break in 1996, Erdem said, “We conducted shale oil investigations in Diyarbakir in 2013 and deep sea investigations in the Western Black Sea in 2015. STATIONS WELCOME 1 MILLION PEOPLE EVERY DAY
Shell Turkey Country President Ahmet Erdem stated that the company’s biggest commercial goal is mobility and said, “There are 45,000 Shell stations in 80 countries around the world. We offered the first electronic pumps in the early 1990s, and the first unleaded gasoline in 1991. We renewed our concept of our station market, today we started to open Selects that exceed 800. EXPORT FROM DERINCE TO 68 COUNTRIES
Ahmet Erdem also shared information about oil, which is another field of activity of Shell and one of the most important input items for the production, construction, mining and transportation sectors.
Noting that the mineral oil factory in Derince continued its activities in 1965, Erdem said, “The Derince factory has become Shell’s only grease and largest lubricant production facility in the Mediterranean basin with its investments and recent modernization. SERVES AT 33 AIRPORTS AND 700 PORTS
Regarding Shell’s maritime business, Erdem said that they provide marine oils and technical service at all ports in Turkey. Noting that Shell Marine Turkey’s local and international testing has reached a market share of over 30 percent, Erdem said that they provide service to Turkish seafarers in 700 ports in 60 countries.

On the other hand, Ahmet Erdem explained that Shell aims to be an energy company with net zero emissions by the end of 2050, “We are trying to help identify and use low and zero carbon alternatives to energy products with the lowest consumption in the world, and to increase the restriction on new energies.” said.
Noting that they have increased electricity production in their global business portfolio, Erdem said, “We have an operational energy capacity of 2.2 GW, production samples of 5.2 GW. There are projects that reach a total of 40 GW in their investment planning experience. We have established an energy system, and today 38 of our stations get their electricity from the sun.
TOGG WILL INSTALL 600 CHARGERS
Emphasizing that electric homes charged with electricity generated from renewable energy are among the most promising technologies for today, Ahmet Erdem said, “It is of great importance that charging stations are safe, fast, where they are needed and ready for use. We will expand our electric vehicle charging network to approximately 60 thousand in 2020. By the end of 2022, we have increased it to approximately 140 thousand charging points. We aim to reach these figures up to 500 thousand in 2025 and 2.5 million in 2030,” he said.
Ahmet Erdem also mentioned the cooperation with Turkey’s domestic automobile brand Togg on the charging station, saying, “Our Shell & Turcas company has made a strategic cooperation with Turkey’s electric car Togg in order to provide electric vehicle users with an experience in the past. The Trugo brand, which provides vehicle charging solutions, and Shell&Turcas, work together with electric power to serve all electric vehicle users with chargers over 180 kWh in 81 provinces.
