Former “Take Five” in bankruptcy
business
In the state capital, a prominent inner-city restaurant has now slipped into bankruptcy – the CoV measures are officially cited as the reason for the bankruptcy. According to the credit protection organizations KSV and AKV, ten employees and 45 creditors are affected by the bankruptcy.
The nightclub G7, the former “Take Five”, is located in the Gstättengasse next to the Mönchsberg elevator, and thus on one of the liveliest nightlife areas in Salzburg’s old town. According to their own definition, it is the “finest nightclub in Salzburg”. At the best times, long queues in front of the restaurant were not uncommon.
But now it’s over. The operating company called “EBS Marketing GmbH” had to file for bankruptcy. The liabilities are around half a million euros, a large part of which is due to outstanding invoices from suppliers.
“Ban on night catering main reason for bankruptcy”
The company, which has now gone bankrupt, has existed since 2006. The managing director only took over the restaurant in April 21, i.e. in the second year of the CoV pandemic.
The complete ban on any after-gastronomy as one of the most important CoV measures is also the main reason for the current bankruptcy, says the bankruptcy application. Creditors can now register their claims until the end of February. The first round of negotiations is scheduled for mid-March.
Decision on possible renovation still open
The company is not yet closed, but operations have actually been discontinued. Whether a reorganization WILL be attempted is currently still open – a corresponding decision by the bankruptcy administrator is still pending.
