Deadly fire in Beauzelle: the results of the autopsy of the body of the baby revealed
The first results of the autopsy of the body of the baby who perished in a fire in Beauzelle have fallen. The little girl died of asphyxiation.
The tragedy shook the population of Beauzelle and beyond. This Wednesday, January 11, an eight-month-old girl died in the disaster of an apartment of a HLM, rue de la Rhune in Beauzelle, a small town northwest of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). The fire started inside the dwelling for a cause that has yet to be determined. The mother of an infant was seriously injured in the fire. She is currently hospitalized at Rangueil Hospital. Her state of health does not allow the investigators to hear her so that she delivers her version of the facts.

The autopsy of the little victim was carried out on January 13. All the results of the examination are not yet known but the Toulouse prosecutor’s office indicates that the baby died of asphyxiation.
The mother still hospitalized
The alert was given around 3 p.m. The neighbor of an apartment located rue de Rhune, near Andromède, in the new districts of Beauzelle, alerted the emergency services. She was bothered by the fumes before seeing large flames coming out of the window of the victims’ accommodation, on the third and top floor of a small recent building. The emergency services, very quickly intervened on the scene, extracted the mother in extremis but her eight-month-old baby was already breathing. They couldn’t revive him. The forties, burned in the chest and legs, was transported yesterday to CHU Purpan. His vital prognosis is engaged.

The fire was finally brought under control shortly before nightfall. At first glance, the damage is significant. Investigators will have to determine the origin.
