The volleyball players of Bučovice host the extra league B teams. They are especially excited about the Prague Lions
“The Lions are a typical playoff team. They deploy their youngsters in extra league matches. For example, the last time sweeper Krča, Kollátor and Vodička played an extra league and cup match in Zlín and both clearly won 3:0. Yes, on Friday it will certainly be a tougher opponent than on Saturday, but that does not mean that we can underestimate Budějovice,” assured the coach of the Falcons.

As a continuation of the I. League, Bučovičtí played at the championship of the Czech Republic of Sokolská. They easily won the final tournament in Chocna, defeating their biggest opponent so far in the fight for first place, second in the table Sokol Dobřichovice (2:0).
“It’s pleasant and I think that we played well from Chocna, and we also trained well. But only championship matches can confirm that. Of course, we want to use the home environment and extend the invincibility in our hall. But most importantly, if we win twice, we will be able to go to Dobřichovice, that is, for the match between the currently second and first teams in the table. I think that the upcoming four games in January will already decide the ranking at the top of the first league, and we would like to hold the current six-point tip at the end of January,” Čížek indicated his plans.
He should have a complete team at his disposal. On Friday, the entire 14-man squad will play for the Lions, on Saturday, the “guests” from Zlín, Ladislav Toman and Lukáš Čeketa, will be absent. Once again, the traditional strong support of the domestic audience is expected.
“We haven’t been home for a long time, so I believe the audience will come, even though it’s kind of a weird season with flu and various other viruses. I assume that the hall will be full on Friday, it’s usually worse on Saturday and we’re already looking forward to moving the Saturday times to six o’clock in the afternoon in the playoffs,” added the coach and manager of the Bučovice volleyball players.
