Republic of Moldova distances itself from processes taking place within the Union of Independent States. The information was revealed by Sputnik Moldova, with reference to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicolae Popescu.
According to him, the Government of the Republic of Moldova is analyzing the necessity of keeping the agreements signed in the framework CIS.
“We don’t see processes in the CIS that would interest the Republic of Moldova… There have been problems with access to our goods since 2006, there are trade restrictions in relation to our exports,” said Popescu.

“Now we are analyzing the need to keep part of the agreements that Republic of Moldova has them within this organization”, he signed.
The Moldovan Minister of Agriculture, Vladimir Bolea, claimed that the withdrawal of the Republic of Moldova from the Commonwealth of Independent States would be another problem, absolutely useless. During a conference in Romania, Maia Sandu explained that the exit of the Republic of Moldova from the CIS is a long-term process, because cooperation within this organization is based on several hundred agreements, many of them bilateral and economic. She also explained that these agreements are currently being reviewed to see which ones can be withdrawn and which ones should be kept.
