Measures due to bird flu in Prague-East end. But the republic still applies
At that time, it appeared in three poultry farms in Hrusice in Prague-East and in another farm in the same district near the village of Popovičky – sometimes it indicates the location of Nebřenice, other times the cadastral territory of Chomutovice.
The bomb disrupted the college’s operations. Anonymous also reported an explosive at the airport
At the beginning of this year, large-scale poultry farms in Sedlčany in the Příbram district and a small yard in the settlement of Týnec near the town of Dobrovice in Mladoboleslavsk appeared as outbreaks.
Measures in connection with the outbreak reported in Kožlí near Myštic in the territory of the South Bohemian Region also extended to the Central Bohemian Region.
There was no transmission of the infection to humans
Governor Petra Pecková (STAN) stated in connection with the current situation that Central Bohemian institutions reacted correctly. “The regional hygiene station, in cooperation with the veterinary administration in the given areas, took the necessary steps to prevent the spread of the disease. The hygienists also supervised the liquidation of the farms and compliance with all measures. Also thanks to this, we have no information about any transmission of bird flu to humans, which is clearly positive news,” she praised.
The bird flu in the H5N1 variant, which has now been proven by laboratory analyses, can indeed infect humans.
Mushrooms grow even in winter. Do you recognize any?
“A big thank you goes to all the departments that participate in the liquidation of farms and measures related to it, whether it’s the fire department, the police, or hygiene,” said the governor. On Thursday, January 12, the Regional Veterinary Administration will end the measures announced in Prague-East at the beginning of December.
“However, nationwide measures to prevent the transmission of bird flu will continue to apply,” explained regional spokesman David Šíma.
Under a roof or in a netted enclosure
“It is still the case that all poultry farmers should house their birds indoors to interact with wild individuals. Otherwise, to the highest possible extent, to prevent the contact of farmed and wild birds,” he referred to the need to hide poultry under the roof or to net enclosures.
According to the veterinary administration, these measures do not apply to pigeons or runners, i.e. to ostriches.
