Toulouse-Lautrec high school: “touching”, “real life lesson” … Internet users under the spell of the new TF1 series – News Séries on TV
TF1 broadcast last night the first two episodes of “Lycée Toulouse Lautrec”, its new event series which tackled the issue of disability in an original and intelligent way. A singular fiction that won the hearts of Internet users.
This Monday evening, TF1 launched with great fanfare the broadcast of the Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec, its new event series. Composed of 6 episodes, this fiction carried by Chine Thybaud and Ness Merad, follows the daily life of the students of the Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec, an establishment which welcomes students with disabilities, such as Marie-Antoinette, a bubbly quadriplegic, or Charlie ( Juliette Halloy), suffering from a brain tumour.
The school also welcomes able-bodied students, such as Victoire, a young teenager forced to leave her life in Paris to enter this extraordinary place in order to follow her brother, who suffers from epilepsy. Very quickly, she will discover there friendship, love and solidarity. His classmates will upset and change his life forever.
This ambitious series, created and produced by Fanny Riedberger, managed to convince TF1 viewers without difficulty. The Toulouse-Lautrec high school indeed imposed itself at the top of the hearings last night by attracting an average of 3.65 million viewers.
On the target of women responsible for purchases under the age of 50, which is the most coveted by advertisers, the series has a solid market share of 32.6%. A success for TF1 which was also confirmed on Twitter, where Internet users were full of praise for the series.
Many have thus weighted the talent of the young actors, but also the accuracy with which the delicate subject of disability is evoked. “Disability treated with humor at times, what a life lesson!” was thus enthusiastic a user while another mentioned “a gripping series that truly reflects reality and inclusion! Thank you TF1 for breaking the codes and for daring!”.
Find new episodes of the Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec every Monday at 9:15 p.m. on TF1. Season 1 is already available in full on MyTF1 Max.
