‘Tourism for all’: Popular destinations boosted – Friendly areas
The dynamic that tourism in Greece has shown in 2022, but also the positive predictions for further development of and in 2023, underlined the Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikiliasstressing that the program “Tourism for All” strengthened him alternative destinations.
As Mr. Kikilias said in the context of a meeting he had with journalists, the dynamics of Greek tourism is proven by all the official data, but also by the income it brings, which they strengthened significantly the national economy and local communities.
Another big bet, which the Ministry of Tourism has set is for Greece to be a popular destination all months of the year. According to Mr. Kikilia, this goal is already being established, as the extension of the tourist season has become a reality.
In fact, it is noteworthy that, in addition to the destinations that have always been a pole of attraction for tourists, alternative destinations and the illegal Region have now been strengthened. In this direction, the “Tourism for All” program has made a decisive contribution.
At this point, it is recalled that, at the end of January, a new draw will take place for 125,000 coupons in the framework of the program. The Minister of Tourism also spoke about the critical projects that will be used in 2023, utilizing the resources from all financial financial tools, with the aim of even greater tourism upgrading.
Which areas were highly preferred?
According to the data of the Ministry of Tourism, the regions that were found higher in Hon of travelers are Central Macedonia, Peloponnese, Attica and Thessaly, while the greatest positive change in the winter months was recorded by Western Greece, Western Macedonia, Thessaly and the Northern Aegean. Among the destinations, large cities such as Thessaloniki and Athens stood out, but also more alternative options, such as Tolo, Ioannina, Edipsos, Thassos, Kalavrita and Kastoria.
