White notebook for Alexandra of Luxembourg: the princess is getting married in the spring in Provence, in the presence of Philippe and Mathilde
Princess Alexandra will celebrate her 32nd birthday next February. After a literary baccalaureate at the Vauban high school in Luxembourg, the princess studied psychology and social sciences in the United States, then philosophy in Paris. She completed her university studies at Trinity College in Dublin with a specialization in conflict resolution.
The civil wedding will take place on April 22, 2023 at the town hall of Luxembourg City. On the other hand, the religious ceremony will not take place in the Grand Duchy but in France. This is not the first time that a member of the Grand Ducal family has chosen France to unite. Prince Guillaume, brother of Grand Duke Henri married Sibilla Weiller in 1994 in Versailles. Prince Félix, elder brother of Princess Alexandra, united in 2013 with Claire Lademacher during a ceremony in the basilica of Sainte Marie-Madeleine in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in Provence.
Alexandra of Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory opted for the Saint Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas for April 29. This locality located in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is particularly linked to the grand-ducal family which has in Cabasson a second summer residence “La Tour Sarrazine”, close to the Fort de Brégançon, summer residence of the Presidents of the French Republic.
120 kilometers from Bormes-les-Mimosas, King Albert II and Queen Paola also have a summer residence in Opio. Given the close ties between the families of Luxembourg and Belgium, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were to be among the wedding guests.
A spring of 2023 placed under the sign of happy events for the Grand-Ducal family since the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and the Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie are expecting, for the same period, the birth of their second child.
