Toulouse. TFH bites the dust in the North
The daughters of Fabien Vedel did not display total serenity at the prospect of the long trip which led the Toulouse women towards the mists of the North. If, on paper, the Lomme team is currently sailing in the same waters as Julie Legatindji’s partners, the truth of the moment is somewhat different.
Since its victory on the wire at the expense of Rennes, the Lille suburbs seem to have become aware of the level required in the second division. From the start of the game, the northern doorwoman Nadia Benabdelhafid had put the scent of the Occitan attackers. It will be necessary to be particularly effective to catch the ultimate rampart of the LLMH at fault. And as at the other end of the floor, Niacalin Kanté was already on track, the task proved to be as difficult as expected. No reason to panic too much. Amanda Kolczynski kept watch on her left wing. With his colleague Lalie Brouillet, they ensured the evolution of the score favorably. Less at ease when the tempo panicked, Toulouse refused to let go too quickly. Well helped by “snipeuses” northerners in lack of success, the ambassadors of the Pink City took the lead at half-time. A goal in advance (14-13) only but which had the merit of putting balm in the heart to visitors on the verge of asphyxiation.
The TFH fails to widen the gap
Upon returning from the locker room, the Toulousaines had regained their breath. Marion Theys emerged from the shadows. Unfortunately for Fabien Vedel’s players, they couldn’t make the hole. Stung to the quick, the Lommoises moved up a gear. And in this game, Aurore Sanz, the metropolitan technician, has the lethal weapon, Célia Benlabed. The center half of Lomme methodically destroyed the morale of his opponents. Although the Toulousaines fought tooth and nail, the Northerners took the match on their own. The latter did not let go of their prey: Toulouse could only bow.
