Pitti Immagine returns to the Fotezza: how the road system is changing
Pitti will bring great international fashion to Florence on Tuesday. The show will be organized as always at the Fortezza da Basso and this will involve some changes to the road network. It will be a busy week for motorists as students return to school from Monday after the Christmas break. From 10 January the appointment is with Pitti Uomo, from 18 with Bimbo and from 25 January with Filati.
Pay attention to the provisions for setting up, displaying and dismantling
The Pitti Immagine events at the Fortezza da Basso are back. It starts on 10 January (until 13) with Pitti Uomo, followed by Pitti Bimbo (from 18 to 20) and then concludes with Pitti Filati (from 25 to 27 January). The mobility offices have prepared a series of measures to allow the setting up, running and dismantling of the exhibition stands. Some of these are already in force, while others will take effect in later stages. This is essentially the scheme already activated for the past editions: the most impactful provisions will be in force during the dismantling with the closure of the Spadolini ramp and via Caduti di Nassirya and the lane on the residential side of viale Strozzi between via Lorenzo il Magnifico and Largo Martiri della Foibe (only for Pitti Uomo).
During the days of the exhibitions, the Municipal Police will be busy with over 60 agents with an average of 7 patrols which will become 11 during the dismantling operations.
Here are the measures articulated in the different phases.
Pitti Immagine Uomo 2023

The bans on parking and transit in Piazza Bambine e Bambini in Beslan and Viale Strozzi (access-exit ramps) are already in force; confirmed the taxi and shuttle stop in the inner service road of viale Strozzi (between piazzale Montelungo and Porta Santa Maria Novella). These measures will end on January 9.

Some specific measures have been prepared for the days of the exhibition. In Piazzale Caduti dell’Egeo parking and transit bans will be in force (except for the cycle path and derogation for vehicles involved in the event). In viale Strozzi, or rather the side street from the traffic light of the avenue at Porta Santa Maria Novella will be reserved for the transit and stop of the shuttle buses serving Pitti Immagine and for bicycles. Still in viale Strozzi in the paved lane of the Calipari garden which connects viale Strozzi (Porta Mugnone side) with viale Strozzi (piazzale Montelungo side) the transit and parking of vehicles involved in the event (set up/dismantling) will be permitted. No parking in via Dionisi (between piazza del Crocifisso and viale Strozzi) which will be dedicated to taxi parking, in viale Strozzi (on the lane on the side of buildings between via della Fortezza and via del Pratello) with an exception for Ncc vehicles; in the service road of viale Guidoni on the San Donato side, only the vehicles involved in the event will be allowed to park.
