Belgium: the body of a teenager discovered in the woods
A 14-year-old girl was found dead on a path in Ougrée, in the Walloon region, and a 30-year-old was discovered hanged this Friday morning in Plainevaux, announced the Liège prosecutor’s office, which believes that the two facts are linked.
Two macabre discoveries in Belgian forests. The lifeless body of a 14-year-old girl was found on Friday in a path in Ougrée, south of Liège, the prosecution announced.
A 37-year-old man from Seraing, a few kilometers from Ougrée, was found hanged in Plainevaux.
According to the elements revealed in the Belgian press, in particular RTBFthese two discoveries would be linked.
In the 30-year-old’s car, located not far from the area where he hung himself with a belt, a 2.5-year-old girl was locked up. The latter, who would be the little sister of the teenager found dead, was quickly able to be rescued after the discovery of the vehicle.
Autopsy scheduled for Monday
An autopsy of the teenager’s body is scheduled for Monday, said the Liège prosecutor’s office, which thinks that this step “will provide more information”.
However, the fact is already qualified asvoluntary homicide.
According to prosecutor Philippe Dulieu, prosecutor for the King of Liège, the two young girls had been missing since last Thursday.
The teenager would probably have been contacted by the thirties via the social networks Snapchat. The man would have offered to go shopping and an appointment would have been fixed in the Brussels region. The young girl would have decided to take her little sister with her.
