FC Annecy pulverizes ES Villerupt-Thil, 6-1, and flies to the 16th finals
It wasn’t a game, it was a ride. That of FC Annecy faces the team of Villerupt Thil (Regional 1). Saturday afternoon, for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France, the Hauts-Savoyards, currently 14th in the championship, provided the show and confirmed their lucky star in the Coupe de France. At half-time, Laurent Guyot’s men led 4 to 1, against Villeruptiens reduced to ten. A health walk. Vincent Pajot opened the scoring in the 7th minute, followed by Arnold Temanfo in the 16th. Villerupt Thil had a start in the 19th when Hugo Mannarino reduced the penalty mark after a foul from Mendy. The same Mendy who responds with a third goal, in the 23rd.
Vincent Pajot, decidedly still as decisive, shot the nail in the 29th. 4 to 1. The match was folded. And to be sure, after the break, the Haut-Savoyard footballers put an end to the suspense with a goal from Jean-Jacques Rocchi (63rd) then Baldé (74th).
FC Annecy has therefore qualified, with art and manner, for the third time in its history for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
Sunday January 8 at 6 p.m., Chambéry (National 3) moves to Aubagne (National 2). Then go Tuesday, at 8:45 p.m., on behalf of the 18th day of Ligue 2.
