Bang trauma from illegal firecrackers!
The experienced police chief inspector knew that it would be a difficult operation in Schöneberg. But the ball bomb thrown by an unknown person on New Year’s Eve not only damaged the lead vehicle of his hundred. The explosion of the illegal firecracker follows Philipp M. (47) to a blast trauma that is still being treated.
“It was 1.18 a.m. near the Kleistpark underground station when a man threw the firecracker under the stationary car occupied by five colleagues,” says Philipp M. The attacker fled into the crowd at the corner of Potsdamer/Langenscheidt- and Großgörschenstraße. Around 200 people fired firecrackers and rockets there – for hours.
“Such a targeted attack is frightening,” says the family man, who was later treated in a clinic and given an infusion of cortisone to counteract the blast trauma.
