“We do not intend to lose 750 euros per farm. We can’t afford it.” A few dozens of farmers gathered, Friday, January 6, 2023, in front of the administrative city from Toulouse to protest against the new zoning which excludes two thirds of the cereal farmers of Haute-Garonne from the subsidized zone.
Tense financial context
If they have not unsheathed the slurry tanker, the protesters gathered at the call of the FDSEA31 expressed their fears, in a strained financial context for their job.
“How was this cut made? »
“We had pleaded for Haute-Garonne to be placed in the low potential area (cereal) and to date, half of the department is not there. We come today to ask how this division was made”, explains Axel Tranvanmember of the office of the FDSEA31.
A delegation received by the DRAAF
A delegation was able to meet the regional director of food, agriculture and forestry (DRAAF) to express his displeasure.
But farmers have warned in recent days. ” At block the city next week if we are not listened to”.
