On Wednesday evening (January 4th), civilian police officers caught two suspected thieves (18, 25) red-handed in the Cologne arcades in Cologne-Kalk. The younger of the two men suspected of dying investigators began nine more crimes within a year. The young Algerian had fallen repeatedly because of pickpocketing. He is due to appear before a magistrate later today.
At around 6:20 p.m. in the shopping center, the emergency services observed how he and his alleged accomplice (25) from Morocco pulled the mobile phone out of a 23-year-old visitor to Cologne on an escalator and accessed it shortly afterwards. Under the sweater of the 18-year-old, the civilian investigators discovered a pair of jeans during his search, which the suspect is said to have stolen from a clothing store in the passage.
