No, it’s not a joke! If you are lucky enough to wander the streets of Tokyo, you may come across a name that is familiar to you. A stylist from JapanYukari Suda, created a luxury clothing brand called “Pas-de-Calais”.
An unknown brand in France
The Japanese, fell in love with the department and in particular with Calais lace, was inspired by it to develop her brand, which has existed for 24 years. The brand is very present in the Land of the Rising Sun with more than 30 stores. It is even found in England and the United States.
In France, the brand imagined by Yukari Suda does not have the same reputation. But the stylist was invited by the Department in 2014 to visit it for two days. She was able to discover the Calaisian workshops where the lace she uses on a daily basis is magnified.
New, the website Topito referred to the Japanese brand in an article entitled “Top 10 brands that pretend to be French”.
And yes, the 62 shines as far as Japan!
