The farmers are angry and will come forward to let it be known. After the actions required by Young Farmers (JA) in several communes of Haute-Garonne in Decemberit’s this time Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FDSEA) who decided to go on the offensive.
The union announces the holding of a demonstration this Friday January 6 at 9:30 a.m. in Toulouse. This brought together farmers from all over the department, in front of the Cité administrative.
They denounce unfulfilled commitments of the State
In a press release, the FDSEA of Haute-Garonne explains the motivations for this upcoming action:
The decision of the Draaf and its regional director concerning the zoning of the Intermediate Zone is not admissible. It excludes many cereal-growing areas in Occitania, and therefore many farmers. This observation goes against the commitments made by the ministry for the development of the cereal sector!
The union regrets that, in the current situation, which has already been rejected by farmers, many territories have been withdrawn from the mapping of the Intermediate Zone which had been presented to him. This document defines the agricultural areas with low productive potential where farmers can benefit fromadditional aid and support measures.
Traffic jams in the Lauragais on the D813?
Ahead of this Toulouse event, several rallying points are announced in Haute-Garonne. One of these appointments is fixed at 8:30 a.m. in the Villefranche-de-Lauragais swimming pool car park.
There will be a convoy departure to Toulouse. The procession will be made up of tractors and cars and will take the road.
Suffice to say that the traffic could be quite disrupted on the D813 between Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Toulousethis Friday, January 6 in the early morning.
