Funeral Benedict XVI, the whole area around St. Peter’s will be a red zone
Third and last day for pay homage to the coffin of Pope Benedict XVIin St. Peter’s Basilica. Thursday morning the funeral, which will also take part in Captains Regent. From midnight to 2 pm tomorrow the area around St. Peter’s will be red zone, as per the order of the prefect of Rome. The square will be accessed only through the manned gates by the police. While the organizational machine is in turmoil for the funeral of Benedict XVI, even today thousands of faithful and personalities from the political world went to the Basilica for the last chance to pay homage to the coffin.
