News in public transport In the new year, we will get used to a new voice that will announce stops on trams and later on buses. This task fell to actor Jan Vondráček based on a vote. Finally, we will also be able to buy a contactless ticket on the bus. And we will take a ride on several new tram lines, specifically from Modřany to Libuš, from Holyn to Slivenc, from Divoká Šárka to Dědina and from Arkád Pankrác to the post office at Budějovická.
News for pedestrians and cyclists
The construction of the Holka footbridge, which connects Holešovice and Karlín, is already being completed. We will be able to walk along it for the first time in February.
News under construction
Next year, residents of Prague will be able to move to the brand new Smíchov City district. The same is true a little further away – at Lihovar, which until recently was an industrial ruin, but will be inhabited until the end of next year. We should not forget about Masaryčka, which is also awaiting completion. And one cherry on the cake – after many years we will be able to see the Barrandovské terraces again.
News at Prague Castle.
although it is not certain, we all certainly hope that with the personnel changes, there will also be an abolition of pointless checks at the Castle. In addition, the lower part of the Deer Ditch could also be reopened.
