The transfer market lands in Rome at the Hilton Rome Airport
The winter transfer market opened on Monday 2 January 2023 and will close on 31 January. The stage for the final negotiations will not only be the historic Gallia of Milan but also the Hilton Rome Airport of Fiumicino.
The transfer market in Rome
A real revolution for the transfer market. In fact, for the first time in history, on 30 and 31 June the last two days of the transfer market will take place simultaneously in both Milan and Rome. The location chosen is that of the Hilton Rome Airport. The choice of location is not accidental. The capital has chosen the largest hotel chain in the world and the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport to become the queen of the market. Roma are aiming to garner much support from the operators to snatch the scepter of the “football capital” from Milan.
The organization
The event at the Hilton will be organized by Adicosp (Association of sports directors and collaborators). “We chose Rome because it is the capital and it seemed right to have its own headquarters in the transfer market”, explains the president of Adicosp, Alfonso Morrone. “We want to give the event an international feel, also for a comparison with those arriving from abroad”.
The international dimension will be breathed in the corridors of the Hilton thanks to the patronage of Iafa and Tff, The football forum which includes the most important agents in the world: from Jorge Mendes, agent of Cristiano Ronaldo and the Roma coach José Mourinho, and Jonathan Barnett, founder of the international giant Icm Stellar Sports and Rafaela Pimenta, new queen of the transfer market. Pimenta who inherited the Raiola agency will chair a transfer market think tank during the event.
The operational headquarters
The Hilton Rome Airport will not only be a showcase but will be the operational location of the transfer market. In fact, in the Roman hotel, as in Milan, the rooms reserved for the clubs will be prepared to conclude the negotiations and obviously also the Lega’s contract deposit office. A real operational headquarters therefore also for Rome which wants to excel and challenge Milan in transfer market affairs.
