Slavia started training, the recovering Bořil and Schranz also trained for the first time
The Slavists started their preparations for the spring fight for the title with a recovered Jan Bořil. The national defender did not play for more than a year due to knee problems, another long-term injured Ivan Schranz is also returning to the full load, and the winter reinforcement Petr Hronek from Bohemians was also at the first training session of the new year. The Prague players trained together for the first time after the Christmas break.
“We have completed the initial opening training session. From Tuesday we will have conditioning training, which will also be connected with the game component. It is not quite the start of training. It already took place about eighteen days ago, when the boys entered into individual training plans, which we continuously checked and we will go through the tests again. From Tuesday, two-phase training awaits us.” stated coach Jindřich Trpišovský for the club’s website.
Bořil has not played since October 2021, since the Sparta derby. Today he completed the first full training session with the team. “There will be a question regarding the cumulation of the load, what he will be able to pass,” said Trpišovský. Schranz still has limitations when playing with his head. Due to health reasons, the duo Tomáš Holeš and David Hovorka are still missing. The heel is after tendon surgery.
“We hope that it will heal quickly and he could join the team during February. David Hovorka is also in individual mode. If everything goes well, he could join team training during February and play some matches in March. The rest the team is fine,” added Trpišovský.
Next Tuesday, the players will travel to Portugal for a training camp. The league will start on Sunday, January 29 against Jablonec, in the table, Trpišovský’s wards lose two points from the second place to the leader Plzeň.
