Horňák already has a successor, Sparta announced a new coach
A nice line of Leten personalities passed through his hands. Petr Janoušek led all youth selections of Sparta, among other things, they performed in the youth categories the exceptional year 1992 with players such as Pavel Kadeřábek, Ladislav Krejčí senior and Jiří Skalák. With this selection, he won the championship.
“During his professional career, Petr Janoušek acquired all the prerequisites to take on the role of head coach of our B team. He combines experience from youth selections at club and national team level with knowledge of working in senior teams. The time has come for me to get an opportunity as a head coach,” points out the director on the club website of sportsman Tomáš Rosický.
Janoušek also worked for the youth national teams. He has been working in Sparta since 2004 with only one break, during which he dedicated himself to the Czech youth national teams.
“Petr knows what the main goals of our B team are, which occupies an important position in the hierarchy. It’s about the development of players, ensuring the transition of talented boys to adult football, we consider it essential that he has better results in the spring and stays in the second league,” urged Rosický. “At the same time, he also closely monitors the connection between the A-team and the B-team.”
The new head coach of the B team also has experience working in the senior categories, in the past he worked as an assistant to coach Zdenek Ščásny at the Spartan A or assistant coach of the Czech twenty-one team, during the 2016 European Championship he analyzed the opponents of the Czech national team, and most recently he worked with Michal Horňák.
“It is an appreciation of my work, a huge challenge and at the same time a commitment to work with the team in a way that benefits the club. Education of the players must go hand in hand with what we want to achieve with the players. That means pushing them into the A-Team. At the same time, we want to keep the B-team in the second league,” Janoušek tells sparta.cz.
“One cannot go without the other. If the players know correctly and certain demands are placed on them, I believe that thanks to this education we will also be able to maintain the competition. I am convinced that the boys will want to show themselves,” adds the new coach of the B team.
