Haute-Savoie. The Bishop of Annecy celebrating a mass for Benedict XVI on January 6
Yves Le Saux, Bishop of Annecy, celebrating a mass of thanksgiving for the life and work of the Pope Benedict XVI Friday January 6, at 7 p.m. at the Notre Dame de Liesse church, in Annecy.
Archbishop Le Saux, who had been appointed bishop for the first time in 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI, recalled “the humility of the man, his modesty and his intelligence”, as well as the “theologian of remarkable stature” that he was.
He underlined the extent to which Benedict XVI had highlighted that “faith is not adherence to a doctrine, an ethic, values or ideas, but rather an encounter with the person of Christ”.
