Salzburg at the start of training with World Cup participants, returnees and Liefering youngsters
Red Bull Salzburg are back from the winter break on Wednesday. There are three World Cup participants, two returnees and a youngster from Liefering. After a test against Bayern, the RB plane takes off for Andalusia for the training camp in mid-January.

After a break of several weeks, started for champions and table leaders RB Salzburg preparing for the upcoming spring season. The performance tests at the start are followed by the first team training session on the grass on Thursday.
All in all, the Jaissle-Elf have four and a half weeks of training and four friendlies on the program. After the test against Bayern scheduled for January 13th, the next day is the week-long training camp in Marbella. The first three competitive games are scheduled for the beginning of February, against Sturm Graz (ÖFB-Cup), Austria Lustenau (Bundesliga) and AS Roma (Europa League) each in their own stadium.
Jaissle full of energy
Coach Matthias Jaißle is full of energy after the break: “We had an extremely intense time in the months leading up to the World Cup. That’s why the break has done us a lot of good to gather strength and now tackle the second half of the season with full batteries. We’ll really step on the gas to be in the best shape for the cup cracker against Sturm.
At the start of training on Wednesday, three of the four World Cup participants will be there. Only Luka Sucic, who took part in the game for third place with the Croatian team, joins a little later, namely on January 8th. In addition to the three World Cup drivers, the two returnees Amankwah Forson (from Altach) and Daouda Guindo (from St. Gallen) will also be involved right from the start, as will youngster and cooperation player Karim Konate, who will be raised by FC Liefering.
