Bordeaux “sous le choc” après la mort d’un ancien joueur âgé de seulement 20 ans
It is a terrible tragedy that struck the Girondins de Bordeaux and those close to Ruben Kutran, as the new year approached. Indeed, the player from New Caledonia died at only twenty years old in circumstances that have not been disclosed. In a message published on social networks, FC Girondins de Bordeaux announced that it was “in shock after learning of the death of Ruben Kutran”. The club clarified that the player had been part of its “training center for 5 seasons between July 2017 and June 2022” and translated all his condolences “to his family and loved ones”. Many club fans, but also former players like Rio Mavuba, wanted to pay tribute to the memory of the young man. Ruben Kutran, who should have celebrated his 21st birthday in January 2023, also received a tribute from the CM Floirac Foot club.
“It is with immense and deep sadness that the CM Floirac Foot club learns of the death of one of his brothers, friends, coaches. Aged only 20, Ruben Kutran left us this Friday, December 30”a lamented the Girondin club. “A kind, respectful and passionate young man. A model for all of us at the height of his 20 years…”, continued CM Floirac Foot in a post published on Facebook. The leaders of Floirac have also set up a Leetchi kitty to help the family of Ruben Kutran to repatriate the body of the deceased to New Caledonia, where he is from. The Association of Cagous du caillou bordelais for its part deplored the loss of a “cousin, a dad, an uncle, a colleague, a friend but first of all a son and a brother for the small Kutran family here in Bordeaux”. “You remain and you remain a model for the rising youth of the country”, also offered the association, which also offered to contribute to the burial costs.
