Liechtenstein: Several traffic accidents over the New Year’s weekend
Several traffic accidents occurred in Liechtenstein from Friday (December 30) to New Year’s Day. A motorcyclist was injured. Property damage was caused in several cases.
On Friday (December 30th), at 6 p.m., a driver reported that he had collided with a deer in his car on the way out of Triesenberg in the direction of Malbun. The deer jumped away.
On the same evening (December 30), at around 8:30 a.m., a vehicle driver said he had to avoid a fox on Kohlplatz-Strasse in Eschen. Nothing happened to the animal. Decal was damaged by dodging an island protection post.
Another island protection post was slightly damaged on Saturday afternoon (December 31) on the Austrasse in Vaduz. When entering the main road, a vehicle driver brushed against that post. He dutifully reported his mishap.
Just a little later, at 3:30 p.m., a motorcycle driver and passenger drove too close to a stone on the Selemad side road in Gamprin, so one of his companion’s feet was trapped between the stone and the motorcycle. The woman had to be taken to hospital care.
On the same day (December 31) at 6 p.m., a driver drove west on Lettstrasse in Vaduz. Due to increased attention, he got his car too close to the right-hand side of the road and collided with an iron fence. No persons were injured. The vehicle is believed to have been totaled.
On New Year’s Eve, a vehicle driver behaved contrary to his duty and crashed into a vehicle that had been parked correctly on the street at around 00.45 on Sunday on Badälstrasse in Gamprin. The driver first assessed the damage to both vehicles and then fled the scene of the accident.
