“Doesn’t exist in Austria”
“Der Bergdoktor” started in its 16th season. But a ZDF viewer listened carefully at the start – and noticed a mistake by the scriptwriters.

Criticism of the “Bergdoktor” – specialist journal for doctors criticizes the ZDF series:
“Der Bergdoktor” may go down best with its viewers, but there has already been criticism of the series from a professional perspective. That German Medical Journal The combined protagonist Dr. Martin Gruber as an uncooperative know-it-all whose everyday life in series has little to do with the actual medical profession. The ZDF series is full of clichés and conveys the “classic image of doctors from the old Heimat films”.

What German fans in particular should not have noticed bothered a ZDF viewer so much that he turned to Twitter: “When the Bergdoktor talks about the district court, although there is no such thing in Austria”, the user clarifies. For a corresponding case, the competent district courts would be in the Alpine republic.
However, other viewers took the small mistake with humor, especially since the alpine doctor series here and there is noticeable with inconsistencies that are not particularly drastic. One user commented: “No Tyrolean speaks as high German as all the German actors play the Austrians.” In the coming episodes, however, the laughter should be over: for the 16th season Mark Keller hinted at a great “Der Bergdoktor” love drama.
