un documentaire intergénérationnel mettant en scène des habitants de la rive droite
The concept is simple. Three teenagers from the Benauge district and three seniors had to present a photo embodying an important moment in their lives. Thus, the same photograph is commented on and perceived from a different point of view: that of the person concerned and that of a stranger from another generation. Directed in such a way that the public feels the concept of crossed gaze, the documentary is edited in coupled editing.
Shards of life
Omar and Yacine open the documentary. Navy blue jacket and umbrella in hand, Omar poses in front of the bar D of the Benauge, now destroyed. The picture does not fail to catch the eye of Yacine, a teenager familiar with this building bar. More unusual, Odile and Clémentine proposed two photos presenting the same event: the crossing on the wire of the tightrope walker Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga, in October 2021. In a more nostalgic register, Isabelle and Jeanne each sent a photograph of themselves as children with their mother. On a black and white shot, Isabelle is in her mother’s arms. “I think the photo was taken on the beach at Lacanau,” Isabelle tries to remember. For her part, Jeanne leans for a more intimate setting, the garden of the family home then gives way to a simple scene of life between mother and daughter.
