Toulouse: the questionable practices of a solar panel company
Several customers of a solar panel company located north of Toulouse have been waiting for solar panels for months. A couple accuses the manager of poor workmanship, while former employees denounce questionable practices.
They do not know each other but share the same exasperation vis-à-vis the solar panel company 321 Solaire, also known as Energy Economy Solution, or S2E France.
They live in Ariège, Hérault, the eastern Pyrenees or the Toulouse region, and all feel they have been duped by this company based in Fenouillet, north of Toulouse. Some like Maryse and her husband, owners of a house in Ariège, near Foix, hoped to benefit from self-consumption solar panels quickly.
“We ordered them on November 11, the aim was to have them on the 19th so that my husband could put them on before Christmas. He will be performed on December 27 and then hospitalized for three weeks, so he won’t be able to do anything for months. »
Once the panels paid for an amount of more than 16,000 euros, the couple learns that the product ordered is out of stock. “And for a few days, it has been impossible to reach the company, the answering machine is full and no longer accepts messages. »
Maryse and her husband are considering taking legal action and want their order cancelled. “We no longer have confidence. In the event of a problem, will they be absent subscribers for ten years? »
“For us, it’s a scam”
After a chaotic construction site, Jeanne (assumed name) and her husband, for their part, provided the installation of photovoltaic panels by a subcontractor of the company. The couple paid 32,000 euros and had to pay an additional 25,000 euros at the end of the project. Except that 13 months after their installation, they do not work. “Nothing has been thought of! despairs of this inhabitant of the Pyrénées-Orientales. For us, it’s a scam. Our legal protection had told us not to sign the receipt of the work, we did well otherwise we pay 300 euros in credit per month! »
The list of bereavements attested by an expert report is long. Very long. About thirty tiles were broken during the installation of the panels, some results from the roof, the references of the products do not correspond to those ordered and are of a lower power, the fixings are hazardous, an air conditioning caused water damage … In short, for months, Jeanne and her husband have been going through what they call “ordeal”.
Several other customers say they have been waiting for their panels to be installed for weeks or even months. “I have just sent a formal notice”, assures a resident of the Herald who has paid 11,000 euros, that is to say half of the sum due, but who has no further news.
“Everything will be delivered at the beginning of the year”
Asked about these issues, Killian Martin, the manager, offers several explanations. Laying delays would be linked to the closure of delivery platforms. “Clients are just waiting for an intervention date. Panels remained stuck with vendors. Everything will be delivered at the start of the year,” he assures us. As for the many poor workmanship raised by Jeanne and her husband, he blames an employee and his client. “An employee only did as he pleased and did not pose as the customers wanted. I wanted to go and put up signs but this client insulted me and I couldn’t do anything. »
Conflict with employees
Customers are not the only ones to complain about this company, and in particular about Killian Martin, its manager. Four former employees indicate having had difficulties with several orders. A former salesperson launched two labor court proceedings to recover 10,500 euros. For Mr. Martin, this commercial “would have taken the customers of a colleague”. Certain illegal practices (deposits collected before the customer’s withdrawal period, unpaid wages, etc.) are also singled out. Killian Martin denies these accusations. According to him, they are the work of his ex-company, which would act “out of revenge”.
