Landslide in via Posalunga in Borgoratti, involving a building
Around 7:30 on Saturday 24 December 2022 a landslide occurred in via Posalunga in Borgoratti, the firefighters intervened on the spot and got to work to secure the area. The team of the Genoa East detachment was present on site together with the local police, law enforcement and personnel of the Apparition Red Cross.
The landslide, as reported by the fire brigade and as can be seen from the photos sent to GenoaToday from a reader, it is of important dimensions with the large boulders and stones that rest on the terrace of an apartment building. For this reason, checks are underway by technicians and firefighters to assess the static nature of the building and evacuation. At the moment some people have been removed as a precaution, fortunately there are no injuries. Even in recent days there had been some landslides due to the ground soaked by the rain.
“The permanent unified operations room – informs the Liguria Region – is closely monitoring the situation that occurred in via Posalunga in Genoa, where a building is being evacuated due to a landslide. The president of the Region Giovanni Toti and the councilor for Civil Protection Giacomo Giampedrone are in contact with the mayor Marco Bucci and with the operators on site, in particular for assistance to families.
