The Government recalls its measures to secure the New Year’s Eve party on December 31
The three main measures aimed at protecting the population to celebrate the new year and watch the fireworks without a hitch.
The arrival of 2023 marks the great return of New Year’s festivities, without health restrictions. However, this does not mean that there will be no bans. For everyone’s safety, the Government has adopted several restrictive measures for New Year’s Eve, where a concert followed by fireworks are planned on Port Hercule.
Above all, the traffic to get to the party will be particular. From 6 p.m., the sections of the bus corridor on Boulevard Albert Ier, the Route de la Piscine and the Quai Albert Ier will be completely closed to pedestrians and vehicles. To access the leisure establishments located on the port, you will have to take the English courtyard and follow a very specific path.
Second, from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next day, operators of catering and leisure establishments will be required to ” put in place devices for controlling and filtering access to said drinking establishments, (…) to prevent the intrusion of any person likely to generate a disturbance to public order or a risk to the safety of persons and property. »
It should be noted that, from December 31 at noon until January 1 at noon, unauthorized firing of fireworks will be strictly prohibited, as will the transport of pyrotechnic articles or their possession alone.
