This Friday, December 23, around 7:30 p.m., a car was hit by a train, on a level crossing, near the town of Cenon, in Gironde, reported the Twitter account of TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
The accident interrupted the circulation of trains departing from Bordeaux to Libourne/Angoulême, Périgueux/Limoges and Bergerac/Sarlat.
At 9:20 p.m., the same official regional SNCF account announced a gradual resumption of traffic for 9:30 p.m., without providing further details on the material and human toll of the incident.
