Tristan Azbej: Hungary is at the forefront in the defense of Christianity
Hungary continues to lead the way in the protection of Christian culture and persecuted Christians – the words of Tristan Azbej, the Secretary of State responsible for programs to help persecuted Christians of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (KKM), were quoted in M1 News. In his Christmas message, the Secretary of State said:
at Christmas time, it is especially important to know that Christianity has become the most persecuted religion in the world.
He then added that Hungary is sending a message to those who are innocently persecuted for their faith in Christ, that the Hungarian people matter even in the most difficult circumstances.
“We believe that Europe’s Christian culture must be protected and that trouble must not be brought here, but help must be taken to where the trouble is. This is what the Hugary Helps Program is about, in 6 years we have made it possible for one million people to choose to stay in their homeland instead of migrating.”
