Perche Ambition, a nice boost for businesses and craftsmen in the Perche Community of Communes
Ingrid and Frédéric Cueilhe took over the Au Khédive store, rue Villette-Gâté, in Nogent-le-Rotrou, in June 2022. They succeed Philippe and Liliane Quesne who ran the business for sixteen years. The couple called on the Perche Ambition scheme, which helps small businesses carry out their projects.
“We learned about this system thanks to Cyril Leclerc, who is in charge of economic development at the Perche territorial center, and we have submitted a grant application file.”
“This boost helped us to change all the lighting in the store and the windows that we switched to LED, more ecological lighting with bulbs that have a longer lifespan. This had a positive impact on our electricity bill.”
Frederic Cueilhe (Owner at the Khedive)
“In this period of energy crisis, this is not negligible. We have rewarded the PETR and the Cdc du Perche for this award. And also the municipality of Nogent, which has been very attentive during our first months of ‘ installation whenever we had a problem”, emphasizes Frédéric Cueilhe.
A boost appreciated by craftsmen and traders
The Perche Ambition scheme allows small craft and commercial businesses to benefit from a grant from the Perche Community of Communes of up to €3,000 for their investments (acquisition of equipment, development of a shop, sign, etc.) .
The purpose of the operation is to support promoters whose projects do not fit into any existing aid system given the low amount of investment.
“All help is welcome”: an entrepreneur from Vichères testifies to the boost from Perche Ambition
During the last community council of the year 2022 which took place on Wednesday December 14, Simone-Signoret room, in Nogent-le-Rotrou, the elected officials of the Cdc du Perche, within the framework of this same system, validated the allocation of financial aid to four other companies and businesses: the plumber Johnny David of Authon-du-Perche for the purchase of a professional vehicle, the Au Bouquet store in Nogent-le-Rotrou for work on openings (windows), Mohamed Kort of the Nono Phonie’s shop, specializing in the repair of mobile phones in Nogent-le-Rotrou, for renovation work on the facade of his store, and Arnaud Bourlier, carpenter joiner in Nogent- le-Rotrou, for electrical installation work in a workshop located in the town of La Gaudaine.
An aid system that does not exist in all territories
“The aid is 30% of the total amount of the works”, specifies Jérémie Crabbe, deputy mayor of Nogent-le-Rotrou and vice-president of the CDC du Perche, in charge of the economy, employment, digital and general affairs. The Perche Ambition steering committee meets every month.
Perche ambition helps small project leaders
“When the files come before us, they have been instructed by Cyril Leclerc and his team who do a lot of work upstream. Putting together a file before presenting it to the steering committee takes a lot of time. This approach to support our craftsmen and traders does not exist in all territories, ”specifies the elected official.
Work eligible for subsidies applies to craft, commercial and service businesses in the creation, takeover, modernization or development phase. The promoter presents his project to the Community of Communes which is responsible for the administrative coordination and the follow-up of the files. And it benefits from the support of the Territorial Pole of Perche (PETR) in charge of the administrative and financial investigation of the files.
