Woman from Berlin is moving back after 10 months
A TikToker who moved from Berlin to Baden-Württemberg settles accounts with the state in a video. In the 34-second clip, she explains that one aspect in particular bothered her. For many TikTok users, however, the reasoning seems hair-raising.
Ludwigsburg – “I’m just angry, I just have to get rid of it”: The influencer Rebecca Blank enters a video clip on TikTok, noticeably emotionally charged, in which she lets my anger run free, As reported by BW24. The reason: Nine months ago she left Berlin Ludwigsburg drawn. As she explains, she’s going back to Berlin in a month – “because I can’t take it anymore, I’m done” (I’m done, Note d. Red.). Sitting in the car and still announced, she reports on an experience that happened to her shortly before. “I was just about to go shopping. And – as nice as it is here – one thing really annoys me. Namely, you can’t go shopping here. The last shop is closed at 10 p.m.
TikTokerin railed against opening hours in retail in Baden-Württemberg
As Blank wants to have seen, most of the stores in Badenwurttemberg already closed at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. “There’s a store – this Kaufland here – it is open until 10 p.m..” The influencer cannot understand why the supermarket chain has been open for so long while other shops have long been closed. “It doesn’t make any sense at all because I was in the store at 8:40 p.m. and it was completely empty.” “And the thing is, I once wrote to Kaufland. It’s just not normal!”
While some TikTok users show understanding for the influencer’s concerns, some express criticism under the video. “How about just going shopping earlier?” asks one user. “After all, everyone else does it too.” Another asks: “In which Baden-Württemberg do you live? We have a lot of things open until midnight.” When Blank replies that she lives in Ludwigsburg, a user recommends Rewe in Stuttgart – it’s open until midnight every day.
TikTok video meets with incomprehension: “These are luxury problems”
As can be read in the comments, most users find it difficult to understand Blank’s criticism. “These are luxury problems. Greetings from Bavaria, every shop here closes at 8 p.m.,” remarked one user. Another writes: “Hey, that’s just the way it is everywhere, except in the big cities.”
In a comment below the video, the influencer speaks up again and is forgiving: “To all Baden-Württembergers: Don’t hate me, I just praised you on Instagram.” Apparently, the video wasn’t intended to badmouth “The Country”. Whether the retail opening hours were really the reason for the move to Berlin or whether other factors ultimately prompted them to do so – we will probably never find out.
