Thessaloniki: Aristotelous Square was flooded with Christmas tunes from children’s and youth choirs
Aristotelous Square was flooded tonight with Christmas carols, sung by the members of children’s and youth choirs.
The special atmosphere at the Aristotelous celebration was created by 750 children and young people, members of the choirs of three Metropolises (Thessaloniki, Neapoleos and Stavroupoleos, N. Krinis and Kalamaria) and Orthodox Christian Associations of Thessaloniki.
“For the spirit of Christmas to prevail, we need your own music, your own hymns, carols. With your own voices, with your choirs, with the work you do, we come into contact with the tradition and religiosity of these holidays. And these are what put us in the real Christmas atmosphere”, said the mayor of Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Zervas, thanking the members of the choirs and associations that participated in the event.
The following choirs participated in the event:
- Youth Choir of Prophet Ilias Pylaia
- Choir “Christian Hope” of “Hope” Schools
