Drive around the western part of Prague with a very detailed modification of Euro Truck Simulator 2
The local community of Euro Truck Simulator 2 fans is very strong, after all, the popular simulator is created in Prague. From the point of view of map modifications, and especially those with a completely or almost completely faithful scale, the Czech offer is still weaker. Modder KubaK88 recently came up with his little bit of grist with the first version of Central Bohemia and Prague Central Bohemia Project remakes.
- Modifications for Euro Truck Simulator 2 will let you drive through the west of Prague
- The entire Central Bohemia region is planned.
Until now, if you wanted to drive around the extensively remodeled Czech Republic, you basically only had a choice of really high-quality performed by Majoooumap. However, it still offers hundreds of kilometers on the border of the Olomouc, Zlín and South Moravian regions. Fans from Central Bohemia have been out of luck so far.
That is changing with the Central Bohemia Project. It is not a 1:1 map modification, but the author “only” bet on a 1:2 scale. He mainly argues that the map should have been created years ago, but the plan was too recent, as it is better to work with a smaller scale. The environment itself, modifications arise, has also undergone development during that time and in which it is more powerful.
At the end of November, the first version of the mod was finally released with the designation 0.1. It includes the southwestern tip of Prague with parts of the Prague-West district. For example, you can drive around Zličín, Stodůlky, Řeporyjy, Komořany, Rudná, Radotín and neighboring villages. To use the mod, it requires ownership of all DLC for the original game, but at the same time it is necessary to create a new game profile and the map works completely independently of the classic game Europe.
The author promises to continue working on the map. The plan is to rework a large part of the Central Bohemian region, more important transit sections with many local municipalities, as well as peripheral parts and arterial roads of Prague, where trucks traditionally travel. The center of the metropolis is not in the plan, primarily because of its complexity, but also because, logically, freight traffic does not go there.
