Drama in Prague 12: A man was dying, his life was saved by the deputy mayor (ODS). He got a medal
A few weeks ago, the deputy mayor of Prague 12, Vojtěch Mikoláš, planned a rather ordinary political tour. In the end, it turned into a dramatic fight for his life. He ran into a man who first felt nauseous, then even collapsed and lost his pulse. The young politician from the ODS did not hesitate and began to resuscitate the man until the ambulance took him over. Now he got a medal for saving his life.
The terrifying event happened already at the beginning of October, but only now has Vojtěch Mikoláš spoken about it. He described how the life of a man unknown to him was saved.
“I went to have a coffee in Exile and was getting ready for another tour of our playgrounds and sports fields at twelve o’clock. Since it started to drizzle, I decided to go to a convenience store for an umbrella. When I came out, I hear the lady calling for help. A man was lying on the ground. Still conscious,” described the thirty-year-old politician.
Soon the situation becomes dramatic.
“I helped him sit on the stairs. The lady said that they went to the samplings and suddenly things went wrong with him. At that moment I noticed that the gentleman’s hand was hanging and he was not noticing. I couldn’t feel a pulse. I put him down and started the heart massage. I continued until the paramedics and the police arrived.” Santa remembers the horror moments.
“This finally managed to bring the man back to life and then transport him to the hospital. Well, I took an umbrella and went to look at the playgrounds. although I greatly appreciate today’s award, I am no hero. I believe that everyone would behave this way,” supplies.
He earned a medal for saving human life. Nevertheless, the deputy mayor stands by the fact that the health workers, and not only them, deserve much more recognition.
Only the thirty-year-old politician got into the council of the twelfth district of Prague in this year’s elections. The Spolu coalition, for which he ran as a member of the ODS, agreed to govern there with the ANO movement.
With the slogan “Better Prague 12 every day”, Mikoláš himself tries to promote the highest quality public space. It advocates planting as many trees as possible, building new benches or revitalizing parks.
