After credit card theft in Hanover on a shopping spree in Hildesheim
Hildesheim/Hanover – It’s been a long time, but only now has the police in Hanover called two suspected perpetrators who were also on a shopping spree in Hildesheim with a stolen credit card. Now the police are looking for clues and witnesses.
On the night of June 29, the two men stole the credit card of a 43-year-old from Ravensburg in downtown Hanover and subsequently bought several tobacco products.
The police are now publicly looking for the perpetrators with pictures. According to the current investigation status of the police station (PK) Hanover-Mitte, the injured Ravensburger was visiting Hanover.
In the early morning hours of the day of the theft, he used his credit card to check out of a hotel in downtown Hanover. A few hours later, he couldn’t find the credit card. What he had no idea: that same day, the two thieves were out with the credit card to make various purchases in several shops in downtown Hildesheim.
They mainly bought various tobacco products. The damage was more than a thousand euros. The perpetrators were recorded by the surveillance cameras of the respective shops. The PK Hannover-Mitte is now investigating the theft of a credit card with subsequent acts of exploitation and is now using the resulting image material to search for witnesses who have seen the perpetrators and/or can provide information about them.
