Traffic in the center of Prague was complicated by a traffic accident on Tuesday afternoon. At the intersection of Lazarská and Spálená streets, the tram derailed and hit the railing.

According to a photo posted on Twitter, the front car ended up on the pavement. “I’m in a bookstore, nothing anywhere, I climb out… It just slides, well,” the user commented on the photo.
The accident happened shortly before half past three in the afternoon. “Tram operations in the center of Prague were interrupted or severely limited by a traffic accident near Lazarská. Trams are routed along diversion routes according to available track capacities. Passengers are advised to use the metro lines,” PID said on Twitter.
Tram service was completely interrupted for about half an hour. From 3 p.m., it was possible to restore traffic between Charles Square and Wenceslas Square.
After more than an hour, traffic was fully restored. Complications affected lines 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 18, 22, 23 and 24.

There were no injuries in the accident.
